Baguette is a loaf of French bread that measures approximately 12 inches in size with a crisp crust. You can distinguish it by its thickness and long, flat surface. It is a flat, round shape with a hole at the center. The pan bakes it before being flipped. It’s technically a croissant. Baguette is a name that was originally given to this bread by a French general visiting Spain in 16th century. France was at that time allies with Spain and Italy.
